"Euphoria" Annual Function cum Prize Distribution Ceremony @ Surendranath Centenary School. Surendranath Centenary School, Ranchi celebrated its Annual Day with a display of immense talent in order to glorify the 34 years of academic excellence and existence of this institution which is setting standards across the state. 23rd December was a much awaited day when the SCS fraternity was filled with zeal to witness the extraordinary endeavors of the students who worked enthusiastically for this occasion. The Magnificence of the day was made stronger by the gracious presence of the Chief Guest Shri Arun Kumar Singh, IAS, Development Commissioner, Govt. of Jharkhand. The School was honoured to have Brig. (Dr.) Anil Sharma, Secretary, Yogoda Satsanga Mahavidyalaya as the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries were also present on this occasion. The Programme began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the rendition of Welcome Dance. Principal Madam Samita Sinha extended a warm welcome to the respected Luminaries The Principals of various schools including Shri Abhay Kumar Singh (Army School, Ranchi), Smt. Monika Tiwari (Vidya Vikas, Ranchi) were also present. The Cultural Fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating a festive mood. The complete show was based on "Navras". The highlight of the show was the dance drama in Hindi (Krishna Ki Chetawni). The Wolf and Seven kids on Vatsalya Ras by tiny tots took away the heart of the audience. The School magazine "Expressions" was also released on this occasion. The School Principal, Madam Samita Sinha presented a brief report on the notable achievements of the School in the year 2021-22. The Guest of Honour was invited on the dais to address the gathering. He was exhilarated to see the beautiful blend of the various art forms depicting the essence of “Navras”. He also gave away the prizes to the special awardees The Ranadeb Chaudhuri Award was given to Atif Shahab of Class XII (Science) 2021-22 Mira Chaudhuri Award was awarded to Aditi Mukherjee of Class XII (Commerce) 2021-22. Amala Goswami Endowment which is given for the most outstanding performance was awarded to Monoshree Paul of Class X (2021-22). He congratulated the winners and the performers and said that we should not have fear in anything, even if we have we need to conquer it with courage, he added that we ought to love our country and contribute to work for our nation constantly. Later the House Champion of 2022 was announced and the winner was Leopard House. The programme culminated with Vote of Thanks by the Head Girl of the School.
