Surendranath Centenary School organised a felicitation ceremony in their Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar auditorium on 11th February 2024 to acknowledge and applaud the achievements of the students who excelled in the CBSE class X and XII - 2022-23 board examination. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Honourable Mr. Justice Ananda Sen and the members of the Managing committee. The 51 meritorious students were endowed with certificates of merit and gift vouchers in the presence of their proud parents and teachers. Madam Principal Samita Sinha extended heartfelt congratulations to the students on their remarkable performance. She commended the students for their dedication, perseverance and resilience in overcoming challenges and achieving academic success. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests. A scintillating dance drama performance on the life of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar after whom the auditorium has been named added colour and vibrance to the programme. The choir of the school also added melody to the event. On this occasion the Chief Guest addressed the august gathering motivating the students to give their 100% as their contribution is very important for the progress of the country. He also advised the students to have an alternative career option and requested the parents not to pressurize their children live their unfulfilled dream.
