A tree plantation drive was initiated by Mrs. Dipanwita Sen, (a nature lover and wife of Honourable Mr. Justice Ananda Sen) and executed by the Eco Club of Surendranath Centenary School on 30th August 2024. The drive aimed to promote environmental conservation and sustainability. Mrs. Dipanwita Sen inaugurated the drive by planting saplings, setting an example for the students to follow. In her speech she emphasized the need for collective action to protect the environment. She motivated the students to plant a tree on their birthday. The event featured a welcome dance, a song, and a skit performed by students, highlighting the importance of tree plantation. The Eco Club members (teachers and students) planted several trees in and around the campus, pledging to nurture and care for them. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to Mrs. Sen for her initiative and guidance. Madam Principal Samita Sinha appreciated the efforts of the Eco Club in executing this drive and encouraged the students to continue with this noble cause.
