SCS celebrates National Youth Day & Parakram Diwas 12 January 2021

The philosophy of Swami Vivekananda continues to be a great source of inspiration to the youth of our nation. In order to offer our tribute to the great leader , the nation celebrates National Youth Day on 12th January every year. The students of Surendranath Centenary School Ranchi showcased a special programme (online) in order to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda - the youth icon of India. The students of class III presented a short skit (Do not blindly believe what you hear) and also sang patriotic songs to commemorate the vibrant , creative and intelligent spirit of this day. The senior students of classes VI –VIII presented a wonderful programme through google meet.A power point presentation was  prepared and shown by the teachers on life and work of Swami Vivekananda followed by the speeches, songs and recitation.

The birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated on January 23 as ‘Parakram Diwas’ to honour and remember Netaji’s indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation. The students of class IV made beautiful posters expressing the valour of the brave soldier and torch bearer of India. Children also dramatized an inspiring incident from his life. An instrumental symphony was played on the melodious tune of the song ‘kadam kadam badae ja’ by the students.

The Principal, Madam Samita Sinha expressed her gratitude towards these legends of India and said that the main objective to celebrate these days are to instill values in our students and to promote rational thinking among the youth who are the future of our country.
