Surendranath Centenary School hosted `Pushp,` a Social Science Exhibition cum Competition, showcasing innovative projects from students of Classes IX to XII on the theme `Vikshit Bharat` - Envisioning a Developed India by 2047. Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Kr. Shandilya, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the pivotal role of social science education in shaping informed citizens. He stressed the importance of gender equality and achieving sustainable development as crucial pillars for realizing the vision of a `Vikshit Bharat`. The exhibition showcased students` understanding of India`s progress and their vision for a brighter future. Impressive projects were displayed across various disciplines : History, Geography, Economics, Commerce. Eminent judges, including Aditya Pramanik and Anshu Singh from Army Public School, and Jahnvi Priya and Ashish Sultania from Loyola Convent School, evaluated the exhibits. The event was well-attended by proud parents who encouraged and appreciated the students` efforts. Madam Principal Samita Sinha commended the students\\\' efforts, stating, `Such exhibitions foster critical thinking, research, and creativity – essential skills for the future.`
