Science Exhibition 2019 19 November 2019

With different innovative projects and models on display, the Annual Science Exhibition was held at Surendranath Centenary School on 19th November 2019. The chief guest was BRIGADIER Sanjeev Kumar, Commander 61 Infantry Brigade who inaugurated the grand annual Science Exhibition by lighting the lampPrincipal Mrs. Samita Sinha was also present to grace the occasion.

Under the guidance of their teachers’ 240 students from classes 9 to 12 made 120 stunning display of their innovative projects and models based on various topics from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. Few models that attracted the audience were the Mobile Applications, Presentation on Waste Water treatments, and Fun with Chemistry etc. There were also interesting models like Automatic car parking, Mechanical Mobile charger, Rocket launcher, Anti cancer drug, Bioluminescence in trees, Bioplastic, Trigonometry, Maths around us, Biometric voting system bio chip, Tiffin Adda, ph in everyday life saving drugs, etc.

 There was also a corner for INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD, where the children exhibited the models made out of trash, .i.e. made of waste like paper, plastic etc. Out of the seven projects designed by the school for the learners Energy beyond time, aims at sensitizing the learners towards the need of 5r’s that comes under the sustainable goals 

Visiting the exhibition, BRIGADIER Sanjeev Kumar said,"Science and Mathematics are subjects that are part and parcel of our daily life. Organization of such events will not only help in stimulating creativity and inventiveness among students but also will generate their interest for these subjects".  He appreciated the creative skills of students and teachers and the students for using Eco friendly material. 

Taking the opportunity of the great exhibition Parents visited the stalls placing their valuable remarks on the sterling models and exhibits designed by Surendranath School learners. The Science Exhibition was appreciated by all. The Judges were Ms. Mamta Arya for Computer, Ms. Jay Shree Sinha from Maths, Mr. Rajesh Kumar for Physics, Mrs Ruchira Upadhya for Biology and Dr. Abha Sharma for Chemistry.  

The Principal Mrs. Samita Sinha said that this exhibition is extra special for us because, it is the part of experiential learning, though these children are not experts, but they have the curiosity for it at a learning stage. The best part is that they have huge thoughts in their minds, If properly channelized can lead to classic creations.
