With the rising population and the ever-increasing number of vehicles, road accidents are also continuously increasing. To make people aware of this serious issue, an awareness workshop was organised at Surendranath Centenary School on Saturday. The workshop, held under the National Road Safety Month, was addressed by Ranchi Traffic DSP Shri Pramod Kumar Keshari. On this occasion, the Traffic DSP shared several important tips related to road safety and safe driving, and created awareness about traffic rules. During the session, he emphasised the use of helmets and seat belts, controlling speed within prescribed limits, following traffic rules strictly, and avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving. He also informed the participants about the e-challan system being implemented through CCTV cameras along with the traffic police’s awareness initiatives. The Principal of the school, Mrs Samita Sinha, stated that road safety is the responsibility of every citizen and by following it we can protect not only our own lives but also the lives of others.
