Surendranath Centenary School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervour, bringing alive Indias glorious journey from 1947 to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting, followed by the National Anthem, as the disciplined NCC cadets and the school band lent an air of pride, patriotism and solemnity to the occasion. Inspiring speeches by students and teachers, soulful patriotic songs, energetic dance performances, and instrumental renditions of Vande Mataram and Sare Jahan Se Achha filled the occasion with pride and national spirit. The highlight of the celebration was a powerful skit portraying Indias transformation from 1947 to 2047, showcasing the nations remarkable progress, aspirations, and determination to emerge as a developed India. Madam Principal Samita Sinha, in her inspiring address, urged students to dream big, act responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to the nations progress. She reminded them, Viksit Bharat 2047 is not just a vision; it is a responsibility that each one of us must embrace. She called upon the young generation to carry forward the legacy of freedom with knowledge, character, courage, and commitment.
