Surendranath Centenary School celebrated Teachers Day with great warmth and enthusiasm through a vibrant cultural programme, honouring the dedication and invaluable contribution of its teachers in nurturing young minds and shaping the future. The celebrations were organised by the Students Cabinet, headed by the School Head Boy and Head Girl, as a heartfelt expression of the students love, respect and gratitude for their teachers. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The Junior Wing presented a special assembly featuring melodious songs, graceful dances and engaging skits. The young learners also expressed their affection and gratitude through the traditional gesture of applying tilak and presenting thank-you cards to their teachers. The Senior Wing added vibrancy to the celebrations with an entertaining programme comprising a skit, captivating dance performances, a lively rock concert and engaging games. Addressing the gathering, Madam Principal Samita Sinha appreciated the teachers for their unwavering dedication and hard work and commended the Students Cabinet for organising a meaningful celebration to honour their mentors.
