SCS celebrates Endangered Species Day 20 May 2022

National Endangered species day is celebrated each year on the third Friday of May across the country to raise awareness about the endangered species of flora and fauna. Children of Surendranath Centenary School celebrated Endangered species day to spread awareness , thinking globally and acting locally in order to save the species who are in the verge of extinction. The students of nursery to class XII actively participated in each of the events organized by the Eco Club. Tiny tots wore the costumes of the animals and voiced them whereas 3 to 5 students prepared colorful collage with messages written on them. 6 to 8 too created beautiful posters on this occasion showing impact of their extinction on biodiversity. An online quiz was organized for the senior section students. Classes XI and XII delivered enticing and fiery speeches and made  ppt showing the importance of ecological balance on Earth. Principal Madam Samita Sinha said that said that this day gives us an opportunity to be more aware about the conservation of Endangered species and learn about the  measures taken to protect them.
